Revelation 19
Revelation 19
Revelation 19:1-10 Takes place after the harvest of the Earth during the 1000 years when the redeemed are with Jesus. (Humanity this side of eternity need NOT be troubled by Revelation 19 but need to understand it.)
Rejoicing in Heaven
Rev 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice [A Great Rejoiceing] of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
Rev 19:2 For true and righteous are
his judgments: for he hath judged the
great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at
her hand. Rev 17:1
Rev 19:3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke [Her Desrtuction] rose up for ever and ever. [Implying eternal destruction]
Rev 19:4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
Rev 19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. [This is the Praising of God by the redeemed of Earth with the Heavenly Host.]
The Marriage Supper of the Lamb
Rev 19:6 And I heard
as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters,[People, Nations, Multitudes, and Tongues] and as the
voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent
reigneth. Rev 17:15
Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, [The Union of the Bridegroom with His Bride the church] and his wife [The Church i.e. the Saints of God] hath made herself ready.
Rev 19:8 And to her [The Saints] was granted that she [The Saints] should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: [The Righteousness of Jesus Christ] for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, [John] Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, [John] These are the true sayings of God. [The entirety of the Revelation and the entire Canon]
Rev 19:10 And I [John] fell at his [The Angels who gave him this Revelation]
feet
to worship him. QUESTION: Did John know this was an Angel? Yes, he
most definitely did. LOOK at Revelation 1:1 [Rev
1:1 The
Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, [John] to shew unto his [Christ Servants] servants things which must
shortly come to pass; and he [Jesus
Christ] sent
and signified [Codified or Ratified] it by his angel unto his
servant John.
John knew very well that this was an angel, so why did he fall at the
angels' feet? John was a human and what he witnessed left him in such AWE and he
simply fell humbly in contrition (Sorrow for sin arising from fear of damnation)
of spirit before the heavenly being. John wasn't thinking, his only desire was
to worship, but the Angel set him straight to remind him that ONLY God deserves the worship of man
and angel's.] And he said unto me, See thou
do it not: I am thy
fellowservant, and of thy brethren
that have the testimony of Jesus:
[WHO] worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
[God's saints will be able to understand "prophecy" they will have a teachable spirit and they will call on God for understanding. That is the Spirit of or the ability to read and understand prophecy.]
Now the narrative switches to the immediate events of the Second Coming of Jesus! Rev 19:11-21
The Rider on a White Horse
Rev 19:11 And I [John] saw heaven opened, [John in
vision witnessed the heavens roll back as a scroll when it rolled together. Rev 6:14 And the heaven
departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island
were moved out of their places.] and behold a
white horse; [In
Johns day and before Earthly kings rode white horses] and he [Jesus Christ] that sat upon him was
called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make
war.
[This statement "he doth judge and make war" is BOTH in (past and present tense) in its application. The judgment of the righteous has already taken place in heaven and is [Past] before this event, but the "war" that takes place at this moment is [Present Tense] What John is speaking of here is the Battle of Armageddon (The drying up of the Euphrates) and is termed here as "war" when the wicked of Earth is laid in the dust (immobilized) during His arrival preparing the way of the (kings of the East) who are God's saints alive on Earth when He arrives. This is the battle of Armageddon and will last only moments in time.] Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Now Johns Description of the Rider on the White Horse
Rev 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. [This simply means that "no man" fully understands what the name of Jesus Christ encompasses as the Redeemer of humanity. No human being before the Translation takes place can fully understand the all-encompassing "name written". The phrase "but he himself" indicates the (Glorified Human Flesh i.e. the GODMAN that Jesus Christ possesses as the King of Kings but "he himself).
Rev 19:13 And he [The Redeemer] was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: [Signifying His Great sacrifice on the Cross for the Redemption of man, and also represents those in whom were Myrtered for His name. He's coming after His own purchased with His own life.] and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. [Today there are preachers teaching that these "armies" are those saints raptured off the Earth at the rapture of the church. There's a problem with that doctrine, as NO ONE will be raptured off the Earth until Jesus comes as the King of Kings. Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Dallas fame and a member of the president's "faith advisory board" is the one who made the statement. The man is deceived, so with that being said, no wonder the U.S. is in the shape it's in with the likes of these men bending the president's ear. The verse clearly says that they are the "the armies which were in heaven, ALREADY, And since the righteous don't receive their rewards until Jesus comes back, these armies are armies of Angels NOT raptured church members. Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth [This is a symbolism that denotes the word of God] goeth a sharp sword, (Heb 4:12(a) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.) that with it he should smite the nations: [Prove them wrong in their doctrines] and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: [The phrase "rule them with a rod of iron" simply means that His appearance will bring to an end their rule and spiritual deception] and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. [His appearance will execute the "wrath of God" upon the wicked when the Redeemed are gathered to meet Him in the clouds, and the "STONING" of God takes place by (75 pound hailstones) as the seventh and final plague falls upon the humanity lying upon the ground immobilized (as were the guards at Jesus tomb) which is the wrath of Almighty God upon the wicked.
Rev 19:16 And he hath on his vesture [His Garment] and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Why is His name written in (two places) on His garment and on His thigh? His name written on His garment will be seen by the wicked when He returns, the same garment "dipped in blood" as a witness against the wicked. His name written on His on His (thigh) is for the redeemed who have placed their faith in Him as their redeemer by a willful oath to Him. It coincides with the ancient (oaths) of Abraham and his seed who when they made an agreement they used their "thigh" as a binding aspect of the oath (It also identifies Him as GOD). Gen 24:2,3 And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh. And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell. Gen 24:9 And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.
Now the narrative switches forward in time to after the stoning of God with His great Hail is completed and the carnivorous (birds) are summoned to feast upon the dead lying upon the surface of the Earth. It's called the "supper of the great God" by some the supper of the Birds.
Rev 19:17 And I [John] saw an angel standing in the sun; [This is symbolism as John could not look at the Sun directly without being blinded. He is saying that the Angel stood between heaven and earth] and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
Rev 19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, [World Leaders of the Nations of Earth] and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. [The seventh plague of mighty hailstones weighing about 75 pounds each will kill every living thing on the surface of the earth both man and beast.]
Rev 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
Rev 19:19 And I [John] saw the beast, [The Vatican, the False Prophet, and the dragon make up the "beast" in this verse] and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. This is the Battle of Armageddon, it will last as long as it takes the Glory of the arriving King to lay them down immobilized to the surface fo the earth. It will be a very, very, short battle indeed.
Revelation 19:19 takes place at the arrival of Jesus Christ before the "great supper of God takes place. It should be placed right after Revelation 19:11. Because Revelation 19:19 belongs after Revelation 19:11, I will copy it to that position in this essay for clarity. Revelation 19:21 also belongs after Revelation 19:18 I will also copy it there for clarity.
Now the narrative switches a final time from the Second Coming to the Third Coming after the 1000 years expire and the wicked are cast into the Lake of Fire.
Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, [The Beast] with which he [The Beast] deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. [THE FULL END that was spoken of in Jeremiah 4:27.
Rev 19:21 And the
remnant were slain [This slaying of those left upon the Earth is done by the "great hail" prophecy which is also the word of God i.e. the Sword] with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword
proceeded out of his mouth: [His WORD] and all the fowls were filled with their
flesh. [The fowls are filled at the "supper of the great God, after the huge Hail Stones have done thei work.]
