Rejoice with Jerusalem
Rejoice with Jerusalem
(The Explanation)
REMEMBER God speaks of things future as though they are ALREADY.
I chose this photo (of Jerusalem) specifically because it did NOT have the Islamic Mosque
Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Isa 66:7-14 Before she [the established church of Jesus Christ] travailed, [Or as it was being formed by the Lord] she [the established church of Jesus Christ] brought forth; before her pain came, [Meaning before [The Church established by Jesus actually delivered the Redeemer through the Gospel] she was delivered of a man child. [Jesus Christ] Rev 12:2 And she [the established church of Jesus Christ] being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. Rev 12:5 And she [the established church of Jesus Christ] brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her [the established church of Jesus Christ] child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
Who hath heard such a thing?
who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at
once? for as soon as Zion [Zion is another
name for the church] travailed, she [the established church of Jesus
Christ] brought
forth her children. [Those
Remnants or servants of God i.e the Disciples of Jesus, that is why the word "children"
PLURAL is used here instead of the singular word "child"] Shall I bring to the birth, [the New Spiritual Birth born again
experience] and
not cause to bring forth? [The
Savior of the World] saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, [The Savior of the World] and shut the womb? [There would be NO other Savior] saith thy God. Rejoice ye [The Chosen Ones i.e the Believers] with Jerusalem, and be glad
with her, all ye that love her: [the phrase "all ye that love her" is speaking of the surrendered servants of Jesus
Christ who will be with Him in the New Jerusalem] rejoice for joy with her, all
ye that mourn for her: [Because
Redemption has Come to You] That ye may suck, [Be
Nourished by her both Jew and Gentile alike] and be satisfied with the breasts of her [the established church of Jesus Christ from
whom that nourishment comes] consolations; [Assurance of Redemption and Salvation]
that ye may milk
out, [Partake OF] and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. [WHO is Jesus Christ] For thus saith the LORD,
Behold, I will extend peace to her [The word "her"
here includes both literal and the New Jerusalems as though they were one,
which they are in Jesus Christ] like a river, [The Water of Life that Jesus
spoke of to the Woman at the well, through
The ONLY BEGOTTEN of GOD] and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye
suck, [Be Spiritually Nourished] ye [Both Jew and Gentile] shall be borne upon her [Literal
Jerusalem is used here as the synonym for the New Jerusalem] sides, and be dandled upon her knees. [This last
statement of "be dandled upon her knees" is speaking of "birth" or of the New Life in Jesus Christ, the New Birth bone again experience.
It was a Hebrew custom for a barren woman [In this case a world without a
church or Redeemer when the prophecy was given] who desired a child to have her
husband sire that child through a
surrogate i.e. Sarah and Hagar.
It was also done through the birth of
the child for the surrogate to
deliver the child upon the knees of the barren woman. Is this found in
scripture? Absolutely! When Jacob's barren wife Rachael had her son she
named "Dan" through her surrogate handmaid
Bilhah. Gen 30:3-6 And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my knees, that I
may also have children by her. And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to
wife: and Jacob went in unto her. And Bilhah conceived, and bare Jacob a
son. And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice,
and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.
(Literal Jerusalem (the barren) was the "surrogate" for the (New Jerusalem) upon on who's knees the "man child" i.e. Jesus Christ was born unto)
As one whom his mother comforteth, [The New Born Child through nourishment i.e. breast feeding, in this case to be "spiritually fed] so will I comfort you; [Literal Jerusalem in the New Jerusalem] and ye shall be comforted [at the present] in Jerusalem. [At the FINAL END] And when ye see this, [Jesus Christ the Redeemer] your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: [Because the New Life in Jesus Christ has risen] and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his [Previous] indignation toward his enemies. [Sinful Humanity] When the Reconciliation takes place in your Spirit through the Cross of Christ]
These (seven) verses above are NOT speaking of the literal Jerusalem as the literal Jerusalem but for it's "role" in the plan of Redemption folks. They're speaking of the established church of Jesus Christ and the Redemption and eventual Salvation of those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
NOW, the verses again and read them with understanding.
Rejoice with Jerusalem
Isa 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Rev 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. [As there appeared to be no hope in the Jerusalem Synagogues led by the Sadducees and the Pharisee's Jesus arrived on the scene to establish the temple of God i.e. the Church as prophesied here: Zec 6:13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
Isa 66:9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God. [The Savior will COME!]
Isa 66:10 Rejoice ye [ALL People] with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
Isa 66:11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; [Jesus Christ] that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
Isa 66:12 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. [Jerusalem i.e the Hebrews would be "surrogate" for the Gentiles.]
Isa 66:13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. [When the Only Begotten Arrives among you]
Isa 66:14 And
when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and
your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known
toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
Many read the scriptures but very few understand what they read because they surface read it as the written word alone, but that written word as you see it on the page contains many "hidden truths" and unless you're very familiar with the word of God, you cannot see the hidden truths. This rule applies to the whole of scripture in both past and future prophecies and the word itself aside from the prophecies.
