The Day Christ "DIED"

INDIFFERENCE Definition: Unbiased impartial unconcern, Apathy demonstrated by an absence of emotional reactions, The trait of lacking enthusiasm for or interest in things generally, The trait of remaining calm and seeming not to care; a casual lack of concern, Marked by a lack of interest, Showing no care or concern in attitude or action, (usually followed by 'to') unwilling or refusing to pay heed, (often followed by 'to') lacking importance; not mattering one way or the other.

In reference to acknowledging God. ALL of the above definitions apply to Americans today, especially in the church. All them apply to America and Americans because for every supposed cause across the land, whether it's a pro or a con is taken up as a cause by those Americans who wouldn't at other times even consider God for a second but will consider what they think is a cause and get immediately involved in that cause "and act on that cause" either as a pro-advocate or a con rejecter of the cause.

They get "emotional", they get "enthused", and they "care" either as a plus or a negative, about anything and everything that is not for the cause of God. Every secular activity that is known to man they will jump in with both feet as deep as they can plunge. But let that true cause be "for God" or "about God", and they want nothing to do with it. The definition of indifference in that case then all the above definitions do apply.

  • Unbiased impartial unconcern, (for God) becomes biased and partial unconcern against the things of God.
  • Apathy demonstrated by an absence of emotional reactions (About God) increases when it's about God.
  • The trait of lacking enthusiasm for or interest in things generally, (Concerning God) becomes a lack of concern for the things of God.
  • The trait of remaining calm and seeming not to care (Concerning Gods Word) explodes into "rage" when it concerns the things of God.
  • The casual lack of concern (For Real Truth) becomes a "mountain of the lack of concern" when it comes to obedience to God.
  • Marked by a lack of interest (in God) is always at a 100% when it comes to discussing the truth of the word of God.
  • Showing no care or concern in attitude or action (Concerning Gods TRUTH) is the social cop-out for the one who can't defend their religious beliefs with the bible they carry each week.
  • unwilling or refusing to pay heed (To Gods Commands) is the attitude of the bible illiterate.
  • lacking importance; not mattering one way or the other, (CHEAP GRACE) is the attitude by those who practice "cheap grace" in their religion.

What is "CHEAP GRACE?" You've heard the phrase but what does it actually mean Theologically? Cheap grace involves "indifference" and is the attitude that God has done it all for you already concerning your salvation, and that you don't have to do anything towards your personal salvation other than just "believe." But, the Apostle Paul says differently because He knew Jesus personally face to face. Paul says when writing to the Philippian church: Php 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. NOTICE the words "always obeyed" and "work out." These instructions come from a man who saw the Savior of the World to the point that He was physically blinded for three days before God restored his eyesight. He knows what he is talking about. Paul needed to "go blind" physically before God could deal with him in the spirit. Cheap grace does away (BLIND) its practitioners with the personal responsibility to "obey" and "work" towards one's personal salvation.

Christians have a part to play in their salvation aside from accepting the provision made by the Savior in just "believing." Just believing can be "done by devils" as James the Lord's brother writes. Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. Devils believe in God but is their belief going to save them? Belief alone is NOT sufficient for salvation but is a requirement for salvation attended with obedience i.e. the "obeying and the work" Paul spoke of.

The modern church teaching that teaches you that you have nothing to do towards your salvation back to God is a massive lie, taught by men who themselves believe that lie and it's based on a "goody-too-shoes" all-loving, all-forgiving and all-accepting God. Common sense should tell any Christian that obedience has always been required by God, and it's to be expressed by their actions prompted by their belief. When God told Adam this: Gen 2:16,17 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Folks, when Adam was told this by God, he stood before God as "perfect" without any taint of personal sin as a human being. A perfect sinless being was told to "obey", while he was yet "perfect" how much more then is obedience a requirement for the fallen sinful man. Even after you come to God in repentance and especially then your personal obedience to God's commands are a requirement for your redemption back into the perfect family of God and according to Paul the apostle "your work." Your part in the redemption! Cheap grace teaches the exact opposite too this. It teaches that you don't have anything to do with your salvation, that Jesus has done everything necessary for your salvation and this is correct "spiritually" but not "experientially" as far as what Jesus did on the Cross He accomplished for you complete salvation, but that salvation can only be applied to the individual "as the individual "experiences" the working of God in their lives.

It's the "experiential" actual living out of what Jesus has done for you in the individual life, in other words having the "experience of Salvation" as it is being played out in your daily life as you walk in obedience in the SUBJECTIVE gospel known as Sanctification. This can only be done with the abiding Spirit of God living in you. That Spirit is NOT given to the disobedient to the one who does NOT obey God's word. And the Spirit of God doesn't dwell within the disobedient who willfully disregard God commands. Just as the Spirit of God that guided both Adam and Eve, left them both when they sinned, He doesn't abide within the willful sinner who practices "cheap grace", the idea that one has no part to play in their redemption. That's its no longer necessary to even attempt to do anything right, because of being a sinner, you can't do anything right no matter how hard you try. It is true that "mold" once it appears on the cheese cannot become "non-mold", but it can be sliced away from the cheese, but the cheese is still moldy due to its age.

The same is true for the sinner. The mold of SIN will always be with the sinner, but through obedience to God's word, the Holy Spirit "cuts away" the sinner's mold as the sinner walks in obedience. If they do not, then the Holy Spirit leaves that person, just as He left Adam and Eve the very moment, the very hour the very minute they chose to sin. Peter speaking here learned the hard way, that God requires obedience "in action" from the repentant sinner. Act 5:32 And we [Disciples] are his [Jesus'] witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. Adam and Eve disobeyed only once, that's all it took for the Spirit of God to vacate them both, and then their eyes were opened, which means the knowledge of their "disobedience" came home to their conscience immediately.

Cheap grace is called cheap grace because its practice doesn't come from God but from the "god of this world." Satan doesn't want you to know this truth about a form of "grace" that is NOT God's grace at all but comes from the devil himself. It's a form of "false grace" disguised as God's grace that doesn't require from the repentant sinner any practiced obedience or commands from God. It leads its adherents to falsely believe that they have no part in their salvation and that whenever they sin, be it willfully or accidentally God has already forgiven them and will always forgive them if they confess it to Him. What does God's word say about this?

2Ch 6:26 When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them. It is only "from sin" in any of its forms that God accepts the repentant sinner. TURN FROM takes an effort on the part of the repentant.

Paul stated in Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. What was Paul saying here? Was he saying that human beings will "sin" until they die? NO, no that's NOT the context of the verse. That is NOT what he is saying here. Paul is saying that the one who considers himself "dead to sin" in Jesus Christ is free from sin IN HIM. Why? Because Jesus took all that persons "personal sin" within Himself and condemned the law of SIN in the actual person, and when the believer comes to Christ and obeys His word as a believer as Peter above spoke, then because of what Jesus has done on the Cross, as LONG AS YOU obey in Jesus Christ and allow His Spirit to control you as you walk in obedience to Him, then you because of Him and what He has done for you will "cease from "willful" personal sin" as you obey. You are "dead to self" and to sin when you come to Jesus Christ. Any other form of Christianity is a SHAM Christianity.

Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, [Because of what Jesus alone did for you] ye became (In Jesus CHRIST) the servants of righteousness. [In Jesus Christ alone] you have NO personal righteousness of your own folks, no matter how long you've walked with God, and you of yourself "cannot attain to righteousness" no matter how long you obey but obedience is a requirement in order to have the righteousness of Jesus Christ imparted to you. It's IMPUTED instantly to you when you come to Him, but it is only maintained by Him in YOU and IMPARTED to you as you obey. Your part is to walk in obedience with an effort each day and that takes knowledge of His word. To simply come to Him, be baptized, and then assume you're not required to obey Him is "cheap grace." To come to Him and be baptized, and faithfully attend church without a personal study of His word to find out what He requires of you is "cheap religion." To come to Him and be baptized, attend church, read His word for guidance, and then "obey" what He reveals to you and walk in that obedience "in the Spirit" is the only religious walk with Him that Jesus accepts. Regardless of His GRACE and aside from your minister's teaching, God is God and only when you obey Him does He accept you. It doesn't matter what your minister says, it matters what God says and requires of you as an individual and as a repentant, contrite, humble obeying servant.

Cheap grace will be the downfall for millions while they attend church all their lives, knowing that they should obey are led to believe they are not required to do anything, towards obedience because for them they are taught that Jesus has done everything for them, and He did spiritually, but He can't walk "experientially" for YOU, that's something you must do in obedience to His word if you desire to be with Him in Paradise. YOU do NOT obey in order to be saved, YOU obey because YOU are saved! I've heard ministers say "Cheap grace, Grace was not cheap it cost Jesus His life" and they are wrong. Grace didn't move God to give the only begotten Son on the Cross; it was God's Love extended in His Mercy by His GRACE for His creation. His grace was only extended towards humanity during humanity's life run upon Earth, to give them a chance to acknowledge Him as their Creator and Redeemer. It had nothing to do with Jesus' death on the Cross other than His willful choice to be our substitute.

It was what the Father did to His Son on the Cross that affected your and my salvation. The physical death of Jesus, the beatings, the disrespect, the being nailed to the Cross, His physical himan death on the Cross played no part in your salvation other than dying in YOUR place the second death you and I deserved.. However, His spiritual eternal second death on the Cross absolutely did! Since deity cannot die, in order for Jesus who is both God and man, the man i.e. human part of Him was susceptible to physical death, and it did die on the cross, but it played NO part other than His willingness to give His life for you and me. The willful giving of His physical human life i.e. the (man Jesus) had to take place as the Savior of the World, so His [DIVINE part of the Godman] in order for His "divine God side to experience the death we all deserved" before Jesus the man died on the Cross. Since Jesus was God in the flesh ALL of Him both Divine through the Second Death, and human through the death of the Cross paid the full wages of Sin and that was DEATH, both physical and spiritual. The man Jesus died the physical death, the DIVINE Son of God died the spiritual Second Death.

When you understand this, it gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Christ Died for You" the title Christ means the "Anointed One" the divine the deity one who was chosen beforehand and anointed in the presence of human beings by the Holy Spirit on the banks of the Jorden River the day the Father spoke, when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist as the Savior of the World. Yes, God in the Son actually and for real "died eternally" on the Cross for you and me. This had to be done in order to pay the price for disobedience first displayed in heaven by Lucifer and later upon Earth's creation in the Garden of Eden. God must die in order to legally "justify" the wicked in forgiveness. This is a hard concept and truth for the finite mind of man, but never the less it's the truth. Jesus told us this truth when He said: Joh 10:17,18 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. When Jesus said this He was speaking as God the Son, NOT as Jesus the man from Nazareth.

God the Son in His that died "eternally" the second death the real death, the only death that God recognizes as death, the death God spoke of to Adam here: Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Is eternal Second Death, the death Jesus died on the Cross that made salvation possible for humanity. God the Son truly did DIE eternally, but because He is God and His Divine life cannot die, He has the ability and can lay life down and take it up again. However in the case of the Cross of Christ when Jesus died because He forfeited His eternal life so that we might have it, had no guarantee when He died that He would rise back to life. He did not remain dead either physically or spiritually, He is ALIVE forevermore after paying the debt we owned in eternal death, the death that we deserved. However, Jesus DID NOT raise Himself from the dead! Gal 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) Why did He do this? To understand it one must understand the "pure Justice" of God. God's Just requirements within His domain is the "purest form" of Justice that only God can exhibit and perform. This pure justice required that God justly deal with the "sin problem" the "iniquity" found in Lucifer. And when Jesus succeeded in His sacrifice for humanity, God the Father restored Him back to His original place with even a greater Glory than He had before the incarnation.

Lucifer claimed that God was unjust by his banishment from heaven; this accusation against God didn't come for eons after the War fought in Heaven when he was banished. It didn't come until "mankind" in Adam who was created and showed favor in Adam who was made in the image of God spiritually. Something Lucifer coveted in heaven and that was to become God, and it got him kicked out for his presumption. When God made man in His own IMAGE, that was what Lucifer coveted and when he saw that God bestowed upon man what he lusted after, he set out to destroy the creation of mankind. What Lucifer coveted which was to be "very God" spiritually, God freely gave to humanity when mankind was created in Adam, and Lucifer turned Satan couldn't stand it. When the "fall in Eden" occurred because of the deception by Satan, he accused God immediately after God spoke Genesis 3:15 concerning the "enmity" the "way out" of the now sinful predicament that he caused as being "unjust" in His dealing with Lucifer, yet made a way of escape for sinful mankind. He screamed through the heavens that God was "unfair and unjust" and God had no choice but to prove him absolutely in error before those unfallen angels, and before the other unfallen worlds. Yes, God's character and justice was put on trial in the heavens by devilish plans of Satan. That left the infinite intelligence of the Universe no choice other than to prove him in error and the only way that could be done was to exhibit God's "His love" before the onlooking unfallen beings of the angelic host who didn't side with Lucifer, and the other worlds in God's creation.

To do this could only come from the mind of a loving God, as what I'm about to share with you is ABSTRACT truth concerning the matter in question here which is God's JUST dealings with His creation and His "Divine Perfect Justice" in His rule in the heavens. God must work out a way to prove His justice without being accused of being unjust by His banishment of the fallen angel Lucifer by other intelligent unfallen beings who were looking on to see what God would do about Satan's accusation against Him. God however already had a plan a perfect "failsafe" plan but only the GODHEAD was privy to the plan. Not even the heavenly host of angels, nor the unfallen worlds knew what God would do about this accusation made by Satan, that God was unjust because He provided a means of escape for mankind, yet banished him (Lucifer turned Satan) from His presence. To Satan, this was not a just God, and it (Humanities WAY OUT through the Enmity) bolstered his false claim against God, so God must now put into effect the plans He had already decided for the occasion.

It was decided in the "Council of Peace" recorded in Zechariah 6:12,13. When the fall came, Michael was to leave heaven "his rightful estate" and be born as Jesus the Savior of the world. He was to "die" the second death the eternal death, the debt owed by willful personal sin and iniquity, It actually took the "very life of God Himself" in the Son on the Cross to prove God's Love and justice that Lucifer turned Satan had planted the doubt of such in the minds of both unfallen and fallen angels, and other inhabited and unfallen created worlds in Gods Universe. The Council of Peace! God already had a PLAN!

Zec 6:12,13 And speak unto him, [Michael] saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, [ELOHIM] saying, Behold the man [Michael was to become a human "man" who would be called the Only Begotten Son of God] whose name is The BRANCH; [Michael "branched out of Heavens realm] and he [Michael as Jesus] shall grow up out of his place, [Michael as Jesus would grow up on Earth as a man out of His rightful place in Heaven] and he [Michael as Jesus] shall build the temple [the CHURCH] of [ELOHIM] the LORD: Even he [Michael as Jesus] shall build the temple of the LORD; and he [the man Jesus] shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest [Our Great High Priest in the Heavens] upon his throne: and the counsel of peace [This AGREEMENT made between the GODHEAD that Michael willfully agreed to "die eternally" as Jesus the Savior of the World] shall be between them both. BOTH here implies that the "council of peace" i.e. reconciliation that would restore harmony in heaven when it was necessary to put it into action was made between Michael who was coming as Jesus, being "BORN" within humanity as a GODMAN both human and divine and therefore became the "ONLY BEGOTTEN the MONOGENESIS" only one of His kind in the Universe of God, was made between the Father and Michael with the Holy Spirit as a witness.

The word BOTH here implies that the primary decision was made between the Father and Michael whose name means the "The ONE who IS as GOD IS." IM/MAN/U/EL which means GOD with US. Michael could say then IM/MAN/U(r)/GOD. EL in the Hebrew means GOD. God had a plan, and He put it into action in Eden just at the time it was needed as He had already planned, and it wasn't just for the redemption of man alone, but for the redemption of all creation, for the verifying of His LOVE and "JUSTICE" and His just dealing with Lucifer, and His Salvation of a lost race. What then or how did God do this?

Here's your answer!

When Jesus hung on the Cross as the GODMAN, the Only Begotten Son of God through a human woman called Mary. He was both human and Divine, the MONOGENESIS among God's own Universe and Creation. THE ONLY ONE OF A KIND! Since Deity cannot die unless it chooses to do so, in this case, God chose to do so, only Jesus' human side could die on the Cross, but His spiritual side could never have died because it was perfectly Divine unless God (The FATHER) decreed it, which is exactly what the Father did. Jesus, because He was the "Divine Son of God" could not die the "eternal second death" for us unless God the Father separated from Him so as to allow God Himself in the Son to experience the death humanity deserved which is exactly what He did for a brief time.

This is why Jesus cried out before He died the first physical death of all mankind the cry: Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? This cry was a "spiritual cry" it was NOT a physical cry. From eternity past to that time that very moment on the Cross, the separation Jesus felt from His Father as Jesus Christ had never before occurred between the GODHEAD, but it must take place for the "Deity" in Jesus to suffer "the eternal death" that you and I deserve so as to allow God to be just and the justifier of those who believe in Jesus as their Redeemer. Paul says in Romans: Rom 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels (AS MAN) for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. The DEATH here spoken of is the second death the eternal death that Jesus died on the Cross.

MANY, there are today that believe because of the word "blood" as used here:Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. That Paul is advocating that there was some magical power in the literal "blood". That is NOT what the verse means! When Paul said this those to whom he was speaking ubderstood what he was refeering too. Paul today would tell the same verse today so the Western minset could fathom the truth. He would state it like this. Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his (perfect Life Lived), we shall be saved from wrath through him. Later on Paul clarified his statement in this verse. Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Question: For all you "blood believers" out there. Suppose Jesus would have been just (TIED TO THE CROSS) with ropes and left to starve to death, and before He died He suffered the "eternal second death for you" on the Cross, WOULD YOU STILL HAVE REDEMPTION and SALVATION without his SHEDDING ONE DROP OF His literal blood? The answer is an EMPHATIC YES! It didn't take the shedding of blood, the blood was only shed through His flogging and being nailed to the Cross that His life force was finished in His death. It's the perfect life of Jesus lived IMPUTED to you when you believe, that when God looks upon you He see's the perfect obedience of His Son in your place. THAT IS WHAT SAVES US!

God proved through the Cross of the Only Begotten Son, that He was willing to give His own life as a witness to His Justice and Love for His creation thus making a way of escape for all those who will accept it.

(This tells us that God offered Lucifer a way out of his iniquity, but Lucifer's pride was too much for him and he refused, thus he was banished from the presence of God and determined irredeemable, and CONFINED to this earth at the CROSS. SATAN could have repented at the CROSS because if was for INIQUITY that JESUS gave His life there. HAD Satan (wherein "Iniquity Was Found" humbled himself) and accepted the sacrifice of Jesus, God would have restored him. God is NO respecter of persons nor angels. The "eternal death" Jesus died on the Cross could have [had Satan accepted His sacrifice for himself, even after 4000 plus years of iniquity] was powerful enough to even save the fallen angels, but them and their leader Satan refused. Arrogance of the highest order REFUSED their way out of eternal destruction!)

God displayed His love and justice for all His creation at the Cross of Jesus never again to be questioned for all eternity. Yes, Christ did "die for you" and me an eternal spiritual death, the debt we owed to God. However, because He is God from sundown on that physical and spiritually "fatal Friday" long ago outside the walls of Jerusalem, Jesus rested physically and spiritually in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea during the Sabbath day hours that He Himself created. It was His custom you know to keep the Seventh Day Sabbath. Not only did He keep it in life, but He even honored it in His death by NOT coming forth from the tomb until early in the morning on the first day of the week which was Sunday morning.

Luk 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. Yes, Jesus did die for us (AS US) on the Cross "spiritually" the "eternal and final forever Second Death" Himself, and yet on that Sunday morning He came forth ALIVE through the POWER of the FATHER victorious over "death in the Greek Hades, in the Hebrew "Sheol" and in the English Hell i.e. the GRAVE." Because of this God stands JUSTIFIED before His creation for all eternity.

P.S. There was much more to the Cross of Jesus Christ other than Him being just the substitute for the fallen race God's VERY CHARACTURE was at stake.
