EVERY EYE
EVERY EYE
Rev 1:7,8 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
These two verses say much more than their print implies. Let's break it down! We as Christians know that Jesus is returning back to Earth because He has promised to do so. When Jesus ascended back to heaven after He had completed the plan of Salvation, He left this Earth when His "foot" lifted from the soil of the Mt' of Olives to return to the Father in Heaven. He will not again touch this same mountain until His third coming after the 1000 years expire. Zec 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. As, Jesus was ascending upwards out of their sight the disciples of Jesus stood gazing upward as He gradually disappeared from their sight, then the angels who stood by in human form asked them "Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. The phrase "in like manner" eludes to the third coming NOT the second coming when the foot of Jesus will touch the same mountain once again creating a cleansed valley to receive the Holy City of God.
This verse shines greater light on the verses found in Revelation 1:7,8. Since Jesus' words are absolute truth the first question that should rise when reading Revelation 1:7 concerning the words "every eye" is "WHEN WILL EVERY EYE" from Adam to the last human being born on Earth ALL be alive and seeing all at the same time? HINT! IT'S NOT "AT THE SECOND COMING" OF JESUS. Not until His third arrival after the 1000 years of Revelation 20 will "ALL EYES" see Him at the same time. Both the righteous INSIDE the New Jerusalem, and ALL the resurrected WICKED on the outside of the New Jerusalem will ALL "be alive" at the same time, and ALL "every eye" at that time will be "fixed" upon Jesus Christ as the verse says "the ALMIGHTY!"
The verse says "all kindreds of the earth" which this phrase also means much more than the written words reveal. The phrase "all kindreds of the earth" implies the "wicked" as the "redeemed" inside the Holy City of God have all been changed physically and spiritually and redeemed from the curse of the Earth and Sin. Otherwise Jesus would have said "all kindreds of heaven and the earth", but that's NOT what He said. Jesus said "all kindreds of the earth" which implies all those still considered of the Earth i.e. the resurrected wicked. The key to understanding these verses is the phrase "shall wail because of him." Only the wicked at the third coming of Jesus will "wail" as those redeemed inside the Holy City will NOT "wail" as they have been redeemed back to God. Any "wailing" they have done took place in heaven when they with Jesus went through the "Book of Life" and realized at that time that some of their family members didn't "make the grade" and would not be in heaven with God, after which Jesus wiped away all tears from their eyes. Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
No "wailing" from those inside the Holy City of God. The phrase "and they also which pierced him" identifies those Roman soldiers and wicked men who were the instruments of the "death of Jesus." These wicked men cannot come up in the "first resurrection" when Jesus comes the second time. WHY? Because the scripture says in: Rev20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Therefore, Revelations 1:7,8, is speaking of the (third coming) of Jesus NOT His second coming for the harvest of the Earth. It is the third coming of Jesus after the saints of God have lived and "reigned with him a thousand years" in heaven that "every eye" will see Jesus as "the ALMIGHTY!"
The phrase "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending" is the Lord's way of saying "I AM the same thing He told Moses on Mt'Horeb "God and besides Me, there is none else." 1Ki 8:60 That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else. The 1599 Geneva Bible says "That all the people of the Earth may know that the Lord is God, and none other." The phrase "he cometh with clouds" has a duplicity of meaning at both times, "the second and third", Jesus comes not with literal (vapor clouds) surrounding Him, but that of "clouds of angels" so vast that from a distance the eye until they get close enough for the human eye to discern clearly would at a distance appear as "clouds" surrounding Him to the human vision. However. The use of the word "clouds" also implies the atmosphere above our heads which fulfills the words of the angels who said "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."
The two words "every eye" cannot possibly be applied to the second coming of Jesus. Why? Because NOT every eye at that time will be capable of seeing the Lord. Only the living wicked, the living saints, and the resurrected saints will be capable of seeing and witnessing His second coming. The wicked dead will remain in their graves until after the 1000 year Millennium of Rev 20:6 which has the phrase "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection", at the second coming which then implies that there will be a second resurrection of the wicked of the Earth AFTER the 1000 years. We verify this by Rev 20:7-10 when along with the redeemed and every wicked person from Cain to the last apostate is alive and seeing again that "every eye" at the time will see (the ALMIGHTY) at the same time AT THE THIRD COMING OF JESUS. Rev 20:7-10 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, (ALL the resurrected WICKED who have ever lived) Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.
The phrase "tormented day and night forever and ever" does NOT mean eternal punishing or an ongoing punishment forever as it's being taught by the apostate preachers in today's churches. FOOD for THOUGHT here: Example: Let's say you were using a table saw in your shop and accidentally "cut-off" one of your fingers. Would your "severed finger" which would immediately bleed when you cut it off. Would that finger if you buried it in the back yard "continue to bleed" until it returned to the Earth as dust? Would that finger feel any pain and would that pain last forever? The answer is NO! The finger feels no pain, but the individual who lost it did. Is the individual after he/she heals still feeling the pain of the incident when it took place? NO! The pain is gone, the finger is "forever gone". You then friend are "tormented as long as you live" with only having seven fingers and two thumbs 9 digits in total as long as you live. When you die you enter the grave with only 9 digits on both your hands.
If you come up in the second resurrection, you will resurrect with 9 digits total on both your hands. WHY? Because that single finger that you cut off at the table saw is "forever gone" never to exist on your person ever again. When you are destroyed in the flames of the Lake of Fire, you too as a person will perish forever never to exist again before God for the rest of the eternity future. This total destruction of your person is what is meant by the phrase "and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever" Why? And better yet HOW? How could one who eternally perishes in the flames of the Lake of Fire "be tormented forever?" It's simple! The mental anguish and the punishment the wicked individual experiences. That of knowing in your mind before you perish forever what you have by your insolence and rebellion against God LOST which is eternal life will when you perish into ashes "perish with you" forever. It's this knowledge within your own mind that torments you before you perish forever.
It's not that you are tormented forever other than the aspect of your loss of eternal life within your mind that will forever perish when you perish into ashes in the flames that is forever. It's the effects of the perishing in the flames that is "forever" NOT that you burn forever in those flames. One cannot be burned into "ashes" if one is being tortured in the flames for all eternity. There's no such thing as eternal "hell" punishment for all eternity! That is a doctrine of the apostate Roman Catholic Church alone and is NOT biblical as God through the prophet Malachi and Ezekiel revealed. In Malichi 4 God says through the prophet concerning the final physical and spiritual state of the wicked:
Mal 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, (Future from the prophets day) that shall burn as an oven; (The Lake of Fire after the 1000 years) and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: (Wheat winnowing created "stubble: i.e. the husk from the wheat seed and was always burned) and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
To the saints of God, God said through the same prophet: Mal 4:2,3 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness (Jesus Christ) arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. Your preacher says "Repent or BURN forever in Hell" GOD the "ALMIGHTY says if you don't REPENT, you will be brought to ashes burned up. Who do you believe friend? Even the author of SIN and wickedness i.e. Satan himself will be brought to ashes says God.
Eze 28:13-19 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. {ETERNALLY DESTROYED by fire, just as the wicked will be}
Even the last one to burn into ashes Satan himself will be destroyed forever. God told him "never shalt thou be any more." So the question you must answer before Jesus comes the second time is "Why do I believe these fallen churches with their lying doctrines and biblically ignorant leadership?" Why don't I just believe what God says in His word? Why can't I?
Friend it's because you have been taught lies all your life within the church and your parents who attended the church, taught you within the home what they had been taught, and you grew up believing the same lies of which the "fake" final demise of the wicked is only one of those lies. There are many other lies the churches and their leaders are teaching. Another lie they teach is that as soon as a member dies and during their funeral, you're taught that the dead member is immediately in heaven with Jesus on the streets of gold looking down from above and sees you weeping for them at the funeral.
Nothing is farther from the truth! The ALMIGHTY Jesus Christ says: Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he (speaking as both God and man) that came down from heaven, (Himself) even the Son of man which is in heaven.
QUESTION: In Jesus' use of the phrase "the Son of man which is in heaven" who was He speaking of? Since He was sitting before those in whom He spoke and "NOT in heaven" at the time when He spoke this. What was He saying? That (He Himself) is the eternal God who only can ascend and descend at will. No man has that capability. Also if the dead church members can ascend at will to heaven upon their deaths, then they make god a liar. Are they taken then by God? NO! If that were the case there would be no reason for the first resurrection to occur. Many say well the resurrection occurs so God can reunite the spirit that goes to heaven at death that comes with Him when He returns the second time can unite back into their glorified bodies. (Which is total nonsense) This belief clearly says that dead saints are living with God in heaven BEFORE they have been changed from mortal to immortal, from corruption i.e. sin and death to in-corruption. Which is nonsense! Paul clearly stated: 1Co 15:52,53 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
One is NOT immortal nor uncorrupt living with God in heaven until the "last trump" has sounded at the second coming. The phrase "the dead shall be raised incorruptible" is speaking of the saints of God. If they were already incorrupt and immortal in spirit living with God in heaven BEFORE this event, then Jesus lied through Paul's counsel.
No one goes to their reward when they die until those rewards are given at the second coming of Jesus. Rev 22:12,13 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. The state of the dead as taught in the church today is an outright lie folks.
The problem of the nominal Christian lies in their inability to allow God the Spirit i.e. the Holy Spirit to teach them. They rely completely upon what they are told by their apostate minister who him/herself are incapable of understanding even after years of what they think is "formal training" in some "sinminary" and years of surface reading the scripture. God's word was never intended to be taught by anyone but the Spirit of God alone. Man's devices and educational training are as far from God as the third heaven from the Earth.
This friends is "rightly dividing" the Word of Truth! 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
