Creation vs Evolution

Two aspects!

FIRST, the question rises for the Creationist believer to the earth's age.

SECONDLY, the question rises for the Evolutionists believer to the earth's age.

WHAT does the word of God say about the Earth? Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Does this verse mean that the "heavens and the earth" didn't exist before God created them? OR does it mean that possibly the heavens and the earth were already here before God created them for the existence and in the support of the inhabited world that He was about to make? Look at the next verse! Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Here we discover that when God the Holy Spirit "moved upon the waters i.e. the "deep" there's no mention of God creating the waters "first" before the Holy Spirit moved upon them, so the waters must have already been upon the face of the planet, before the Spirit moved. This verse explicitly says the "earth" this was before the fact that God called the dry land "earth" on the third day of creation.

Here we have a water covered, void of life and without any form space rock hurling through the darkness of space and God arrested it and begin to recreate it into a habitable life sustaining planet. This then for the creationist believer is the beginning of the earth as we know it. However, for the Evolutionist who believes that the earth is millions, and in some cases billions of years old, may have some validity as far as the strata of the planet goes where before its creation by God to be inhabited with life existed from eternity past when God originally created the same rock hurling through the darkness of space, that was before its creation to sustain and support life already existed for many millions or even billions of years prior to its life sustain creation.

SO WHO'S RIGHT?

Could it be possible that both are right to an extent?Could the creationist be right based on the word of God, that life as we know it has only existed a little over 5995 years, yet the planet itself has existed uninhabited and uncreated and covered with water for many, many, more millions of years as far as the strata of the earth are concerned? The Bible calls "science" false as far as science goes in its practice and science as a practice is in opposition to God's truth in that it speculates rather than proves its points of issues under question concerning the origin of man. 1Ti 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so-called. Science is falsely named science because it's a study of man that supposedly is capable of determining the works of man, aside from the word of God's account of reality. Evolution Theory as to how man came to be is based on life "evolving" instead of the creation of God formed from the dust of the ground, therefore science is a false creation of mankind and the evolution of life on this planet is a false ideology that contradicts God creative power.

If science considered for a moment this idea, that the earth as a planet has existed for millions of years before it was created to be inhabited by God to support human life and then accepted that that same creation only began some 5595 years ago as creationist belief, then there might be harmony between the two and mankind could advance better both in science and creation together. The next verse: Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. This verse implies that there was "no light" in the darkness of space when God chose to create the planet to be inhabited. Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. This was the beginning of "time" for humanity, it was when the Eternal God separated eternity i.e. His own existence from eternity into time as we know it for us, as time doesn't apply to God, He is not bound by time whereas His creation concerning mankind is bound by time.

However, the time made here didn't apply to mankind until after the fall in Eden. Nothing takes God by surprise! He knew at this first day of creation that mankind in whom He would make in His own image would fail the test and fall into sin and therefore "time" would apply to human life. Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, (12 hours were set aside for the day) and the darkness (12 hours were set aside for the night) he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Mankind would need air to breathe to sustain life so God Gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. (This was not Islands or anything close to land!) Gen 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. When the deluge of Noah's Flood took place the scripture states:Gen 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. God reserved this water above the firmament at creation to be used in the FLOOD of Noah, on the second day of creation week nothing takes God by surprise He is in control of all things in which He does. On the second day of creation, God reserved the waters that would fall through the windows of heaven above the firmament when His right time came.

As the waters of the seas under the firmament were gathered together by the will of God. Gen 1:9,10 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. Then God called forth the vegetation to grow upon the land which He called Earth. Gen 1:11-13 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Then came the fourth day of creation week. The creation of the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars that reside in the second heaven i.e. outer space. The space above the firmament i.e. the breathable atmosphere. Gen 1:14-19 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Since the sun that gives light upon the earth wasn't created until the fourth day, where did the light come from when God said "Let there be light" on the first day? This shows the humbleness and glory of God! The light that God saw that was good on the first day was none other than His radiant GLORY manifested by His command to give light upon the creation and proves that God is the most humble selfless Creator. Then came the creation of the sea life within the already existing waters. At no time here does it say God created the waters "the waters called he Seas." Gen 1:20-23 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

Then the crowing act of creation was that of man, made in God's own image. Gen 1:24-31 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

And finally a rest day for man to commune with their Creator God. Gen 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Creationist believers have no problem with this creation week. Evolutionists on the other hand cannot accept it because they see the earth's age in terms of millions even billions of years, which could have some merit if they understood God's word. At no time does Genesis imply that the "rock" flying through space in which God arrested to begin the creation of habitation that the water-covered rock was created at the time. It obviously existed prior to the creation but it wasn't inhabited with life. The first verse of Genesis 1 that states:Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Can be rendered "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth to be inhabited with life, as the following verses identifying the creation exhibit. It was the beginning of God creating all life that breathes both on the land and in the seas. But He first had to create the land and separate the waters and then a breathable atmosphere and vegetation that would support life.

There had to be an undeveloped without form rock we call Earth because God named it that already in existence and covered in water i.e. the deep. Did this rock have a molten core as it does today? Maybe! And Maybe God created the core as a balance mechanism to also sustain life, but as the scripture states: Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Therefore, the "deep" was already upon the face of the Earth and the Spirit of God moved or hovered over the "waters." The term "made the seas" is not found in scripture. The word "seas" is found 25 times in as many verses. The seas were the result of dividing the waters that already existed, the same waters that the Spirit of God moved upon. There was no life in those waters, but the waters already existed.

Just as a Comet is covered in "ice" as it rockets through space this rock was covered in waters. Now since absolute zero -460 exist in space, and since water as we know it turns from liquid to a solid at 32 degrees F, then was this rock God chose to create for inhabited covered in "ice" before the Spirit of God moved upon the waters? Was this action by the Spirit of God first listed in scripture as a proof that the Spirit of God liquefied the ice that then became waters upon the void, without form pre-created planet? Only God knows the answer. But as clearly stated there were waters upon the pre-created planet when God "in the Beginning" of creation began His work, and the Spirit moved upon the face of the deep.

All this to say that the planet we call Earth pre-existed the creation of it for life, thus the strata of the planet could be many billions of years old which would please both Science and Evolution. However, for the creationist, this is a non-issue, because for them "time as we know it" is all-important as it concerns human life on Earth. Now comes the question. Did God create the Earth to last for an eternity in the beginning? YES! As far as life on the planet God created it to last eternally as a home for the perfect beings He created "In the Beginning." But God knew they would fail the test of the "two trees" placed in the garden of Eden. So then comes the question WHY? To make a very long story short it has to do with God's Righteous, Loving, Character for His creation not just of mankind, but for all His creation which includes many billions of unfallen angels, and other inhabited worlds within His creation.

The Earth will never pass away it will only be recreated for a final time and heaven along with it the heavenly host and the very Throne of the FATHER will be moved from the third heaven to this planet where the Savior of the World gave His life to redeem it with those who accept the redemption back to the family of God.
