A Convenient Faith

A CONVENIENT FAITH

The majority of Christians today walk by "a faith of their own making" it's a "convenient faith" a faith that doesn't require any change in the individual. A faith mustered up within themselves and that friend is a FALSE FAITH. If the servant of God isn't walking by the "Faith of Jesus" instead of a "Faith in Jesus" their faith is in vain. The scripture uses the term "faith of Jesus" FOUR times. It uses the term "Faith of Jesus Christ" in THREE of those four instances. It uses the term "Faith in Jesus" (0) times NOT once is the term found in scripture. The term "faith in Christ Jesus" is found TWICE. The term "Faith in Jesus Christ" is found (0) times.

Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Col 1:4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,

What did Paul mean in both instances to the Galatians and the Colossians? The little two-letter word (in) in the Greek means: Rarely with verbs of motion, and then not to indicate direction. Any faith directed which indicates "direction" or "direction towards" the object that faith is expressed is NOT the saving faith OF JESUS. Today, many nominal Christians say they have faith in Jesus and their faith is directed "towards Him" but that is NOT saving faith friends. That's a faith expressed in the direction towards Jesus and it is NOT efficacious as true saving faith. True saving faith can ONLY be the same faith Jesus had and nothing else will suffice. This is why the Scripture states: Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The saints of God according to the word of God MUST have both! They must keep the "Commandments of God" AND have the "Faith of Jesus" BOTH are required for the saint. The "convenient faith" says NO! All I have to do is believe that Jesus has done everything for me and I am not required to do anything else. If you truly desire to be a saint of God, you will NOT adopt this "convenient faith" and walk in it. It is NOT a saving faith folks. What was or is the "Faith of Jesus?" It was "the faith" to make the (specific article) choice to do God's will as Jesus spoke in Gethsemane. Luk 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. The faith of Jesus suppresses the personal will completely and chooses to obey the "Will of God" in every respect without controversy or contemplation to the point of dying eternally forever separated from God.

This was the "faith of Jesus" that effected Salvation for all humanity. The "cup" of which Jesus asked to be removed if possible was the "CUP" of the wrath of God AGAINST SIN poured out without MIXTURE. Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. This is speaking of the "Second Death" what Jesus experienced on the Cross for ALL of us. This was the "cup" Jesus spoke of. He didn't want to be separated from His Father, but He couldn't save Himself and the World at the same time. There had to be a decisive decision and Jesus made that decision by self-denial to the point of death, the second death.

Yes, God in the Son reconciling the world unto Himself "DIED ETERNALLY" on the Cross with no hope of ever having a life again. Jesus went into the grave and He died without "any hope as a man" of ever being brought back to life. He totally placed His total life both human and divine into the hands of the Father. This is why He stated: Luk 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. NOTICE: The phrase "I commend my spirit" it is ONLY in the spirit that surrenders to God that eternal life is "granted." Jesus knew that if He were to rise the third day as He spoke "AS THE SON OF GOD" when He spoke it, that it was now entirely in the Father's hands for that to materialize. Jesus DID NOT raise Himself from the tomb friend, Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Gal 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;).

Jesus entered the portals of death with no guarantee that He would come forth from the grave. Many folks look at the Cross and they have no concept of just how deep the Love of God condescended in order to redeem them. They see only a beaten substitute cruelly murdered who died in their place and don't really understand what was actually involved, the implications of the Cross. THIS IS THE FAITH OF JESUS! A faith that is totally expressed in self-denial regardless of what your preacher has told you. There will be many, many, of today's nominal Christians who walk by a "convenient faith" that will NOT rise in the "first resurrection" even though they live their entire lives they think by their own standards "walking with God." Friend, this is a VERY SERIOUS matter, and you need to know the God that has redeemed you, and you can't get the information you need by simply warming a church pew and singing hymns.

You need to follow the word of God in Jeremiah 29. Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. It is ONLY when you seek Him with ALL your MIND that you will understand with the heart and with the heart love God His WAY. That friend takes the "Faith of Jesus" and NOT your "convenient faith." A faith, any FAITH that is NOT "wholly" expressed in the truth of God's word and has the necessary knowledge to intelligently grasp the truth as it is in Christ, cannot be TRUE saving faith it's impossible. This is why God said: Hos 4:6 My people [His PEOPLE] are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Not even your minister/preacher, unless he is telling you these truths but purposely "omitting" them from your knowledge is no better than the "Dark Ages Roman Catholic priest" who chained the word of God to a post and you weren't allowed to read it. Then you had to go to them and have them read it for you and then tell you their interpretation of what they thought it meant.

The faith of Jesus is what saves and nothing else. Every saint according to God's word will strive to have the "faith of Jesus" and not their own "convenient faith" AND they will strive to keep ALL the commandments of God. There's not one commandment of God that you cannot keep! You can IGNORE them if you choose and believe they were "nailed to the Cross" or you can follow the word of God. Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. Jesus would NOT have told you this if He in any way believed that His crucifixion would negate His LAW. The Commandments were written by Jesus! Does the keeping of the LAW save anyone? NO! Absolutely NOT. It is by the knowledge of the Law of God that we are able to see the exceeding sinfulness of SIN in our person. Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. If you negate the Law of God, you will live your so-called Christian walk ALL of your life in VAIN, and you will NOT be able to see the SIN in your life, if you can't see the SIN you cannot CONFESS the SIN and receive forgiveness, thus, in the end, you will be lost.

What is a "convenient faith"? It a self-fabricated faith that believes what one has been taught by their preacher/minister and has not been verified as genuine by the word of God. It's an "intellectual faith" a faith that all who have the same and agree together consider it to be "true faith" they are all like-minded in their faith, as a unit and therefore believe that their form of faith is the real thing when it's nothing more than a mental assent to believe.

Believing comes after "FAITH" NOT before it. It takes FAITH to believe that there is a God before you ever by Faith accept Him as your God and then the belief grows as does your faith as you desire to know Him and discover Him. Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, [WHICH TAKES BELIEF BY FAITH] and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Your preacher will tell you that all you need do is simply believe in Jesus. But the scripture says differently. Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. Belief genuine belief can only be exercised through genuine FAITH, that of the Faith of Jesus. Your "faith" is a fickle faith it is a human-generated faith a "convenient faith" a faith that allows you to walk contrary to the word of God while you claim Him as your God. This kind of faith is more than useless before God! Friend, it's an INSULT to Him. Many there are today who have this kind of faith. It is taught from coast to coast through false ministers who allow anything and everything to flourish in their churches from (Rap Music, to Hip Hop like Hillsong worship music) to in some churches (scantily dressed women) twirling on ropes from the ceiling and they call it worship because of their "inclusion, tolerance, and acceptence in unity social gospel."

I have visited the Bahia church in Florida just to see how their services were conducted. I WALKED OUT in the middle of the service. When the ladies all came out twirling their streamers and it began to impress me that it was absolute PAGANISM at its finest. I have visited ONLY because it was mandatory in "boot camp" that everyone has to attend at least one church service during training visited a Catholic Church mass, so I also know what happens there as well. I was born and raised a Southern Baptist and know extensively their mantra concerning their "firey Hell" heresy. I have visited the Assembly of God, Pentecost, Church of God, Methodist, Church of Christ, ALL of them are so confused about the reality of the word of God that NONE of them actually teach or walk in obedience to God.

They ALL walk by and through a "convenient faith" one of their own makings. Many of the so-called Faith social Websites are all filled with "convenient faith" believers who post "pretty little thoughts", "inspirational extracts" and none of them really know God, they only know about Him. If they really knew God as God they would be working towards "saving the wicked" from destruction, but all they care to do is post "pretty little messages" on the BLOG pages and they think that's being a Christian. Their faith is a "convenient faith" and nothing more. It allows them to think they are followers of God while they, in reality, know nothing of God.

Here are just a few examples from a website called "One Place Today" a supposed Christian website that I get daily email from and it's filled with Christians walking a "convenient faith" NOTICE:This title of their sermon! "How to Stay Away from the Darkness". When I see titles like this I immediately can identify their phony "convenient faith." Here is their HEADLINE to try to get your attention

[Jan Markell, Jill Martin Rische, and Eric Barger sound a warning to protect ourselves [Where's GOD?] from the darkness of the world. This episode of Understanding the Times will teach us how to be aware of the evil as well as how to defend ourselves against it.] These people are "WOLVES" and they think their Christian. Not even Gabriel could withstand the attacks of Satan.

Dan 10:13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia [who was SATAN] withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, [The ONE who IS as GOD IS is what Michael means] one of the [THREE] chief princes, [from HEAVEN, this was the pre-incarnate Son of God the Second member of the GODHEAD, ONE of the three CHIEF PRINCES] came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Psa 14:3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. One cannot choose to live holy, any holy living in the human being is the holy life of Jesus Christ alone. That doesn't manifest in a "convenient faith"!

These are just a few but I get this garbage daily only to use it as examples for other essays that I write. This is modern Christianity which is modern paganism at its finest with a "convenient faith".
